ABOUT OUR ORGANISATION
WHO WE ARE…
We are a mid-level recreational ice hockey team with a range of skill levels from players that have graduated from watching the game to playing the game, up to ex-professional, league and recreational players that have joined us from other clubs around the country.
OUR HISTORY…
Established in 1995 the Sheffield Blazers are one of the UK’s longest serving recreational ice hockey clubs. We play out of Sheffield’s £15.7 Million Ice Sheffield Complex situated in the lower Don Valley in Sheffield. This Sport England funded facility opened in May 2003 and has become one of the most sought after playing venues in the country.
WHO RUNS IT…
As well as our regular team members we have a dedicated team of current and ex-players who form the management committee. The committee consists of six core personal who look after the day to day running of the club including the Treasurer, Team Manager, Game organiser and the registration secretary. The team captain and coach also form part of the management committee.
WANT TO JOIN US?
We are continually looking for new players to join our team. We cater for players of all abilities, male or female, so if you are over eighteen and have full protective equipment, then why not get in touch and see if the Blazers could be your new hockey home.
